Aloha! I'm Tay, the hands and heart behind Wrapped In Waves. My jewelry journey began during those long COVID days in Hawaii, where beach walks and shell hunting became my daily escape.
What started as collecting treasures along the shoreline has evolved into over 5 years of metalsmithing magic. Self-taught and forever learning, I've grown from wire-wrapping shells to mastering soldering and beadwork, always chasing that perfect blend of ocean-inspired beauty and everyday wearability. As an Applied Jewelry Professional through the Gemology Institute of America (with more GIA education on the horizon!), I'm passionate about creating that happy medium between affordable and quality.
Each piece is handcrafted with aloha spirit – meant to be worn daily without tarnishing when touched by saltwater (because life's too short to worry about taking off your jewelry before jumping in the waves!). Every creation is one-of-a-kind, bringing a little bit of paradise to your everyday life.

I expanded my skills into soldering and metalsmithing, combining formal workshops with countless hours of self-teaching through tutorials and experimentation. These years were dedicated to full-time market presence, connecting directly with customers who shared my passion for ocean-inspired, handcrafted jewelry.

Now, I'm excited to be pursuing GIA gemological education while working with fine jewelry and diamonds, bringing professional expertise to pieces offered through my online shop and select markets.
